The School of Information Science and Engineering has 170 faculty members and 4469 students. There are 121 full-time teachers, of whom 21.5 percent have PhD’s and 65.2 percent postgraduate degrees. There are nine professors and 36 associate professors. Currently, the school offers one postgraduate program and nine undergraduate programs.
There is a Provincial Electrical and electronic experimental teaching demonstration center, a Provincial Computer experimental teaching demonstration center, and an Electrical Engineering Training Center. The School cooperates with internationally well-known enterprises and co-founded the GE Integrated Automation System Laboratory, Siemens Industrial Network Control Laboratory, Application of TI DSP Technology Laboratory, Fujitsu Semiconductor Technology of the Internet of things, Taiwan Yonghong motor PLC and Application Laboratory, China Mobile Fujian Mobile Communications Laboratory, and the Freescale-embedded Laboratory. It also co-founded the Embedded Training Certification Center and Cisco Network Institute with the Embedded System Expert Committee of the Chinese Institute of Electronics. The school has maintained long-term relationships and signed practice-based agreements with many well-known IT enterprises, providing ample engineering experimental and training opportunities for the students.
Traffic and Transportation Engineering
This program aims to help students gain expertise in their abilities to solve practical technical issues concerning Traffic and Transportation Engineering. Within the four main subjects, there are nine areas of research. In-school coursework is completed in one year, and then there is a 120-class- hour practice segment.
