YU Ming

YU-Ming, Professor, Senior engineer of Geodesy and Geomatics, currently the Director of Personnel Department of FJUT, also Director of Geodesy and Geomatics Socity of Fujian Province.

In 1985, Professor YU-Ming graduated from the Wuhan Geodesy and Geomatics College, mainly engaged in teaching and research in 3S (GPS and GIS and RS). He assumes the course: Engineering Survey, Measurement and Cartography, Urban Geographical Information System, etc. Geodesy, presided by him is entitled “Provincial Excellent Course” of 2004 by Department of Education of Fujian Province. He has also presided and participated in many national and provincial scientific research fund programmes, and published in the core academic journal Geodesy and Geomatics Science and Journal of Tsinghua University (Science and Technology) more than 15 academic papers, including 2 EI index. The teaching result of Geodesy innovation, presided by him, is awarded the second prize of “university-level Teaching Result”, FJUT. He has also won the honor of “Excellent Teacher” of 2002 to 2004, and 2004 to 2006 academic years.

From November 2009 to May 2010, as one of the first senior visiting scholars of Fujian Province to the School of Civil Engineering, Taiwan University, Professor Yu engages in the research of urban public transportation system, including urban public transportation policy and planning, urban rail transportation and BRT, Taiwan high-speed rail and the MRT system construction and management.
