Category：Scholarship coverstwo to three yearsof studies toward master degree of engineering.
Program:Traffic and Transportation Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Civil Engineeringing, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Engineering Management (part-time) graduate studies.
Language of Instruction: The programs in Chinese universities can be instructed either in Chineseor in English.Scholarship recipients of Chinese-taught programs without adequate Chinese proficiency must take Chinese language training courses for one year so as to fulfillthe language requirements of their host universities prior tomajoring in their specialty.
Duration of the Scholarship:The duration of the scholarship will be limitedtothe student’s admission to the university, and will not be extended in principle.
Scholarship winners after entrance into China will bemanaged according to the relevant regulations of Chinese Government.
Students are not permitted, in general, to apply to change their specialties, their host universities or the duration of study as specified in the Admission Letter once they agree to accept the scholarship.
Application Receiving Agency and Deadline
Applicants should apply for the scholarship to the International Exchange Office of Fujian University of Technology beforeApril 10, 2014.
To be eligible, applicants mustmeet the following requirements:
- Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and in good health.
-Applicants must NOT be already-registered students in Chinese universities at the time of application or graduates from Chinese universities whose graduation is less than one year ago.
-Applicants for master's degree studies must have bachelor's degreesand be under the age of 35.
-Applicants should not be beneficiaries of any other scholarships.
-Applicants should have a competitive academic record.
-Exempt from registration fee, tuition fee, fee for laboratory experiment, fee for internship, fee for basic learning materialsandon-campus accommodation fee.
-Monthly living allowance.
-One-off settlement subsidy after registration for new arrival students
-Fees for outpatient medical services, Accidental Injury and Hospitalization Medical Treatment Insurance.
5.Application Documents (in duplicate)

- Applicants shall fill in and submit application formsvia theCSCOnlineApplication System for Study in China.
- The online application system can be found athttp://laihua.csc.edu.cn, and theinstitutional codeof our university is10388.
-Notarized highest diploma (photocopy):If applicants are university students or already employed, they should also provide documents proving that they have been university students. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
-Academic transcripts: Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
-Thepersonal statementincludes a study plan or research proposal, family economic situation, reason of scholarship application,awards, personal specialties etc., with a minimum of 1500 wordsin Englishor 1500charactersinChinese.
-Two letters of recommendation from full professors or associate professors, in Chinese or English.
-Applicants must submit a photocopy of theForeigner Physical Examination Formcompleted in English (the original copy should be kept by the applicant).The formdesigned by the Chinese quarantine authority can be downloaded fromhttp://www.csc.edu.cn/laihuaorhttp://www.campuschina.org). Thephysical examinationsmust cover all the items listed in theForeigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. Please select theappropriate time to take physical examination as the result is valid for only 6 months.
-Applicants must provide the Academic Transcript of HSK issued byChineseHanban. Those
without the basis of Chinese or under the HSK (Level V) shouldapply for learning Chinese for one year, and apply for scholarships during their Chinese language studies.
No application documents will be returned whether the applicant is recruited or not. The scannedcopy of the above documents should be sent to the email@example.com the paper application documents sent by post to the International Exchange Office of Fujian University of Technology before April 10, 2014 by the applicant him/herself.
-Applicationmaterialswill be reviewed by China Scholarship Council (CSC) and be signed and issuedVisa Application Form for Study in China (JW201)
-CSC will send, before the 31stof July, theList of Scholarship Winners,Admission LetterandVisa Application Form for Study in China (JW201)to the department incharge of enrollment, who will forward thesedocuments to various universities in China, and then each university will inform the scholarship winners.
Students who have won scholarship must register on time based on admission notice andgo through the Annual Review of the Chinese Government Scholarship Status.

Scholarship for International Students in FJUT
In the interest of promoting the scheme ‘Study in China’ held by the Ministryoof Education, as well as attracting international students, FJUJ is to establish its own scholarship scheme. Details are as follows:
Applicants shall meet the entry requirements of international undergraduate students.
Ⅱ. Categories of Scholarship
1. FJUT Full Scholarship for Undergraduates, takes up 5% of the total international student number of the year.
2. FJUT Partial Scholarship for Undergraduates, takes up 10% of the total international student number of the year.
3. FJUT President’s Scholarship for Undergraduates, takes up 25% of the total international student number of the year.
Ⅲ. Details of Scholarship
• FJUT Full Scholarship for Undergraduates
o Student will get exemption from tuition, registration fee, experiment fee, textbooks fees and on-campus accommodation fee. If experiment or internship outside teaching plan are required, all cost shall be covered by students themselves; textbooks for compulsory units will be provided however other expenses shall be covered by students.
o Living allowance, which is ￥12，000 per person per year.
o An one-off settlement subsidy will be given for new students, which is ￥1,500 per person.
o Comprehensive Medical Insurance will be purchased by FJUT, which mainly covers the expenses for in-hospital treatment and personal accident.
o International travel expenses will be paid by the students unless there’s other agreement.
b. FJUT Partial Scholarship for Undergraduates
Students will receive exemption from tuition, registration fee, experiment fee, textbooks fees and on-campus accommodation.
c. FJUT President’s Scholarship for Undergraduates
For students who get “Excellent” in the annual review, a ￥5，000 RMB yuan scholarship will be awarded by the President.
Ⅳ. Duration of Study
4.1 Students who has been awarded a scholarship need to conduct their study in Chinese or English. If a student choose Chinese in his study but his/her Chinese fail to meet the entry requirement, he/she shall complete one-year Chinese language class and pass the test before proceeding.
4.2 Usually the duration of undergraduates study is 4-5 years(depend on different programs).The duration of scholarship will be decided by the duration of different program(which will not be extend in general).
Note: Students who receive Chinese Government Scholarship or other subsidies shall not be eligible to apply scholarship from FJUT)
