Guomai Information College (GIC) is affiliated with Fujian University of Technology (FJUT). Working with enterprises, the school’s goal is to provide a unique mode of application-oriented undergraduate education. GIC is located at the foot of Mount Gu, on the Shangxi Campus of FJUT, in Jin'an District, Fuzhou. It covers an area of about 300 mu, with excellent facilities in a beautiful environment.

GIC has three departments and eight specialties. It boasts a team of outstanding teachers, renowned professors and academic leaders, overseen by a top-notch administration. The departments are Computer Science, Electronic Information and Communication Engineering, and Business Administration. Specialties offered are Internet of Things, Software Engineering, Electronics & Information Engineering, Communication Engineering, Business Administration, Information Management, and Information Systems.

GIC engages in a “3+1” mode and is exploring other methods of teaching and curriculum reform. During the first two years, students will be given the basic education, and in the third year, advance to a professional skills curriculum. In their last year, students will continue their practice in a professional capacity, in companies or factories chosen according to their career orientations. Much attention is also paid to students’ English and computer skills. Many students have passed the CET4 and CET6, benefiting them greatly in their careers. Many have also gained strong practical abilities in their computer skills and have won various prizes in their examinations.

GIC takes full advantage of both the main campus and the cooperation of leading corporations, attaching great importance to the combination of theory and practice. Our goal is to produce advanced application-oriented talent. The employment rate of our first graduating class is 98.8%, according to the Fujian Bureau of Civil Servants. This is high praise for GIC from employers.
