English

The establishment of the English program was approved of by the State Council in 2005, marking the founding of the Department of Foreign Languages. Based in a university concentrated on engineering disciplines, the program is oriented to specific purposes (mostly international business). In 2009, it was authorized to confer bachelor’s degrees. Since then, its annual number of new students increased from 70 to 120.

Over the past seven years, the English program has clearly met its educational goals. Students are encouraged to minor in international trade, accounting, finance, or engineering, while majoring in English language and literature. This enables graduates to use and produce the language fluently and accurately for specific purposes.
