This major offers students a strong foundation in the basic knowledge and theories of animation and nurtures their abilities to design，write，direct and create their own animations. The curriculum has a strong practical focus, with emphasis on the form design of animation, storyboard creation, original animation design, postproduction, and the making of special effects. Students will be provided courses to develop their skills in and knowledge of two-dimensional and three-dimensional animation design and the application of relevant software. Students will also develop a better understanding of the production process and the animation industry as a whole. Through theses studies, students will develop their creative and self-learning abilities, while achieving a high-level humanities education.
