The Journalism Major aims to train students for careers in the news media and other cultural undertakings and industries by providing them with systematic knowledge and helping them develop their skills. After four years’ study, graduates will have a solid foundation in related theories and a wide range of knowledge in culture and science. They will have achieved professional-level interviewing, writing, editing and commenting skills, be trained in areas of specialization, such as financial or legal, and be familiar with news policies and regulations in China. They also will have received comprehensive training in English reading and writing skills.
