Prof. Chen Qun, Master, supervising engineer, graduated from Tongji University with a major in Construction Management and bestowed the BE degree in 1990. Currently, she is the Vice President of School of Management and, has long been devotedly engaged in education and teaching. Prof Chen assumes the courses including Engineering Project Management, Introduction to Engineering Management,Construction Enterprise Management, Construction Economy and Project Management and Principles of Management. She is the director of provincial Excellent Curriculum of Engineering Project Management as well. In 2008, she was chosen as the Youth Core Instructor and visitor by the Ministry of Education and spent one year in Southeast University. She was elected as member of the 6^thArchitectural Economy Academic Committee of Architectural Economy Branch, Architectural Society of China.

In recent years, Prof. Chen has taken charge in more than 10 projects from Humanities and Social Science Fund Project of the Ministry of Education and Provincial Social Science Project. She has participated in more than 30 scientific research and teaching projects at national, provincial, departmental and college level. She published 23 papers in core journals such asMathematics in Practice and Theory,Construction Economy,Railway Transport and Economy, etc. and university journals independently or as the first author with 3 EI and 3 CSSCI.Some of them were reprinted by RDFY. She also formally published 2 monographs likeA Research on Project Management for Whole Life Cycle of Highway Engineering. She editedConstruction Project Managementas the textbook of ‘the 11th Five-Year Plan’ for High Education andEngineering Project Managementas the 21st Century-oriented Textbook. Meanwhile, Prof. Chen has made many achievements in researches.A Research on the Teaching Mode of Engineering Project Managementpresided by Prof. Chen won 2007-2008 Excellent Scientific Research Achievement from the Association of China Construction Education.A Reform and Practice in the Teaching System and Teaching Methods of Engineering Project Managementgot First Prize in the teaching achievements at college level. She was appraised as “2009-2010 School Excellent Scientific and Technical Worker”.
